About the Class You Observed
1. How
much time is devoted each day to instruction in the classroom? Describe the
class periods (if applicable)? Choose a content area of your specialty or
major. How much time is devoted to teaching that subject? The class would be describe in periods of 45
minutes. They class periods would run from math, grammar, social studies,
science and life skills along with their specials.
2. is

your class.
Yes , the teacher made special groups witch
were design for the students that needed extra help in certain areas were they
have seem to be straggling with.
3. Identify
any textbook or instructional program you primarily use for instruction. If a
textbook, please provide the title, publisher, and date of publication. They
use a program called Great Leaps. I don’t know the publisher, and date of
publications .This instructional program helps the struggling readers.
4. List
other resources (e.g., SMARTBoard, manipulatives, online resources) used for instruction
in this class. They do not have a SMART Board, however they have an Elmo,
computers and IPads. They seem to use a program called ABC YA and Scoop pad.
5. What do you know about what your students know, what can they do,
and what are they learning to do? What do you know about your students’
everyday experiences, cultural backgrounds and practices, and interests? I was
very impress with some of the students because they were at reading level. They
were learning to identify the main point of the text. They use and are in the
process of identifying close reading. Witch deals with finding the main point
of the text in the story.
6. Describe one teaching event. What best
practices in teaching were used?
I love the fact the teacher was using many
kids of teaching skills and that she made the lesson interesting and she made
sure that everyone in her class was paying attention. When she would ask a question she made sure
that other classmates would help their classmates would help her answered the questions.
I like the fact that it was all a team work. She made sure that everyone in the class was
at tune .
